The last hat of the golden years before the Great War. The distinctive feature of this style is the soft fabric crown which is gathered into the hat band. The only trim seen on this hat is perhaps a single bow, cockade or other feature. This hat and its contemporary the High Crown hat helped the transition between the large Edwardian cartwheels and the round crown hats which dominated the Great war years. | ||
